A car-sharing club for Cupar?
As part of the Developing Car Clubs in Scotland programme, Carplus Trust, in partnership with Fife Council, is carrying out a survey to find out what people in Cupar think about having access to a local car-sharing club.
Please complete the survey to register your interest.
How would it work?
It would start with sharing cars used by Fife council staff during the working day, which could be booked by car-sharing club members in the evening, at weekends and during public holidays.
There would also be one car available to use at all times – which could be useful for business trips or daytime appointments.
What will it cost?
Occasional user: about £4 per hour (plus mileage charges to pay for fuel use) or £32 per day for a Ford Fiesta – fully insured.
Regular user: on a pre-paid package of, for example £30 per month, you could book a car for 5 or 6 hours a week (plus mileage charges).
Who can join?
Most people with a full driving licence who are over 21 and don’t have too many points.
How do you pay?
You will get a monthly bill for the trips made in the previous month, which must be paid within 14 days.
