Carplus workshop and AGM 2011

The Carplus workshop and AGM was held alongside the annual Travel2020 exhibition and conference.
The focus of the workshop was ‘Technical Innovation in the Car Club Sector’ and featured presentations from three speakers and a panel discussion.
The AGM was held at 17:30 following the workshop, and was open to observers although only Carplus members could speak and vote.
Presentation 1 – Using mobile phones for finding cars, booking and accessing them: Jonathan Hampson, Head of Locations, Zipcar.
Presentation 2 – Using mobile technology for remote management of car checking and cleaning team: Ray Cooper, Head of Systems, City Car Club.
Presentation 3 – Introducing EVs to the car club fleet in the North East – early lessons: Paul Balmont, Commonwheels CIC
