Want to have a car club in your Area?

There are almost as many different routes to a car club as there are clubs, but here are our five recommended steps for Local Authorities to take to get started...

STEP ONE - SHORT CUT

Check the interactive map at www.carclubs.org.uk to see if there is a car club near you already.  If so we recommend approaching them to discuss your needs and what they would require to supply a car club service to you.

STEP TWO - WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF CAR CLUBS AND WHERE'S THE EVIDENCE?

If you need to prove the case to colleagues and Elected Members for car clubs, either in money terms or efficiency savings or the many environmental benefits, here are the sections of our website which summarise the la test research.

 STEP THREE - SIGN UP

You can benefit from car club access while showing your support by joining as a corporate member, this will give the club confidence that you are committed to the project and will help achieve viability.

Here is the evidence that car clubs are a money and carbon saving option for a workplace:

STEP FOUR - AM I IN THE RIGHT PLACE?

Would a car club work for your Local Authority area?

Do you have the essentials? See our checklist

If you think a car club is right for you but have not been able to find one locally, consider starting one up in your area. Carplus can advise on this, contact us.

STEP FIVE - AND FINALLY
